I only wish it had been longer with more of Ryan and Sierra! A great seasonal read for any time of year. I loved those two together. The flashbacks were perfection. It's so hard for me to be satisfied after reading a novella, but Piper Lawson succeeded! Having time with Clay and Nova, Miles and Brooke, Chloe, and Jay added the extra investment that I crave when reading a book.
I also listened to the audiobook and the narrators are excellent! They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. A perfect listen for a road trip!
What a perfect Christmas novella!!!
This was the perfect quick read…giving us Christmas shenanigans, romance, a proximity romance…with all of the Denver Kodiaks players and significant others!
We get a bigger glimpse of the bar’s favorite bartender, Sierra, and well…Ryan gets a bigger glimpse of her as well! HAHA
This was just a wonderful, low angst, Christmas romance that I highly recommend reading (whether you are familiar with the Denver Kodiaks that author Piper Lawson has given us or not!)!

Simone Lewis & Tim Paige did an amazing job narrating Rookie Season!!! Loved and recommend it!!!
This was a totally wonderful holiday novella. This book offers up Ryan and Sierra's romance and cameos from others from The Denver Kodiaks lineup. If you are familiar with this series, you are in for an extra treat (and if not, you are really missing out) however, I think you will thoroughly enjoy it anyways simply due to Sierra and Ryan's story. Humor, heart, emotions, angst and spice will have you laughing and smiling as you fall head over heels and your heart fills with light. The narrator's voices were easy to listen to, and I thought that their performances were excellent.
Simone and Tim did a wonderful job narrating Sierra and Ryan's story.
It was fun, flirty, a little bit dirty and everything I didn't know I needed in my life! I loved catching up with some of our other couples and finding out what was happening in their lives.
While it may have been on the shorter side, it didn't lack emotion. You could hear the uncertainty and trepidation, the longing and restraint; it really was a lovely story.
I was left with a happy heart and excitement for the next Kodiaks story.
